Mary Weber-Young, Ph.D. L.P.C., has been practicing full
time, specializing
in the area of eating disorder for more than a decade. She works with both
adolescents and adults, helping people to not only understand the underlying
meaning of their eating disorder, but to also help them find more effective
and productive ways of dealing with those issues. Dr. Weber-Young is
experienced in treating the full range of eating disorders including
anorexia, bulimia, and compulsive eating.
A St. Louis native, Dr. Weber-Young holds a doctorate in Clinical Social
Work and a Masters Degree in Professional Counseling. Dedicated to ongoing
training and research in the field of eating disorders, Dr. Weber-Young has
lectured both locally and nationally, and has served as field supervision
for practicum students. She also provides supervision to other clinicians in
the community. Dr. Weber-Young regularly attends conferences in order to
integrate the most current research and treatment philosophies into her
clinical practice.
